503 patients are currently waiting for beds in hospitals around Ireland.

According to the INMO Trolley Watch figures, 356 are waiting in the emergency department, while 147 are in wards elsewhere in the hospital.

Hospitals in Limerick and Cork are the worst hit today.

The figures are:

  • University Hospital Limerick– 67
  • Cork University Hospital – 62
  • University Hospital Galway - 32

The total number is up on Monday's figure, when 484 patients were waiting on beds.

University Hospital Limerick (62) and Cork University Hospital (40) were again the worst hit yesterday.
