Around 30 people have attacked police with missiles during a night of disturbances in the North.

Around 30 people have attacked police with missiles during a night of disturbances in the North.

The mini-riot broke out at around 7.30pm in Derry’s Waterside area when a group began throwing stones, missiles and paint at officers.

The violence in area of the mainly nationalist Gobnascale lasted around half an hour and one person was arrested.

There are no reports of any injuries or damage to vehicles at this stage.
