British police searching for missing teenager Netradica Anghel from England, who was located in Co Laois last night, have thanked the public and the Gardaí for their assistance.

British police searching for missing teenager Netradica Anghel from England, who was located in Co Laois last night, have thanked the public and the Gardaí for their assistance.

A man in his late 20s has been arrested in connection with the investigation and is due to appear before a special sitting of Portlaoise District Court this afternoon at 2pm.

The 15-year-old, known as Neta, was last seen on Wednesday at her family home in Rotherham.

An investigation involving both the Gardaí and police in Britain was launched after officers

She was located by gardaí in Laois last night.

Detective Inspector with the South Yorkshire Police Mark Monteiro said he received a call at about 10.30pm last night from gardaí to say they had located Neta.

"We're really, really grateful for all the support from the Irish people in helping us locate this young lady," he said.
