Michael O'Leary: Cyclists should be taken out and shot

Ryanair boss Michael O'Leary has landed himself in hot water for suggesting that cyclists should be 'taken out and shot'.

The outspoken businessman has said he is unhappy with Dublin City Council's promise to increase the number of bikes on the capital's roads.

The local authority revealed the plans at an economic conference in the US embassy yesterday.

But Mr O'Leary wants to see more public transport offered instead.
