The country is set for some good summer weather for the next week, despite forecasts of some rain for today and tomorrow.

The country is set for some good summer weather for the next week, despite forecasts of some rain for today and tomorrow.

Met Éireann said that temperatures set to reach the low to mid-20s in some parts of the country over the next few days.

It will be warm this weekend with temperatures reaching above average for this time of year.

The sunshine is predicted to last untilthe following weekend.

Meteorologist Deirdre Lowe from Met Éireann says from tomorrow onwards, we can expect some good spells.

"In the coming week, it's looking pretty good," she said.

"It's going to get warmer again next week temperatures into the low to mid-20s,

"Over the weekend, and indeed for today, there's some showers to come and then by Sunday the showers should have gone.

"They're be good sunshine, and temperatures in the high teens to low 20s.

"So pretty good really."
