Member of Welsh Assembly suggests Ireland could pay for motorway
A UKIP member of the Welsh Assembly has suggested that Ireland could pay for Welsh motorway works through EU funds.
David Rowlands asked if part of the cost of an M-4 upgrade could be borne by the Irish Government.
He claims this is because three-quarters of all Irish exports to the EU and UK pass this road.
But First Minister Carwyn Jones denied the possibility, saying it's the Welsh Government's responsibility to maintain Welsh roads.
