Sinn Fein's Mitchell McLaughlin is calling on the Ulster Unionist Party to come clean on their strategy to stop the May assembly elections going ahead.
The party's chairperson said with all the momentum being sucked out of the process, it was imperative that the political institutions are re-established urgently.
He was speaking following an Ard Comhairle meeting in Dublin. He added it was unhelpful that there were those working behind the scenes determined to undermine democracy and prevent elections taking place.
