Kate and Gerry McCann, the parents of missing Madeleine McCann, will be in Dublin today to mark the publication of the book 'Madeleine' written by her mother.

Late last night, Scotland Yard announced they would take a fresh look at the evidence in the case.

The move comes after Kate and Gerry McCann made an impassioned appeal for British Prime Minister David Cameron to help them revive the search for their daughter, who vanished Portugal in 2007 shortly before her fourth birthday.

The couple hit out at the British government, saying it had offered "words, but no action".

Mr Cameron wrote to the McCanns to pledge action, having met the couple 18 months ago while opposition leader.
