A man in Mayo has been charged after Gardaí discovered a cannabis growhouse.

A man in Mayo has been charged after Gardaí discovered a cannabis growhouse.

It was found on a property near Bangor Erris yesterday morning during an organised search.

30 cannabis plants worth an estimated €40,000 were seized, along with a drying chamber, fertiliser and liquid feed.

A man in his 20s was arrested, he was charged and released from custody at lunchtime today.

He will appear in court at a later date.
