Maynooth College develops app to help people with heart problems

A project being developed by scientists at Maynooth College could prevent heart attacks in the future.

Researchers at NUI Maynooth received a grant of €3m to develop a phone app which plays music in sync with human heartbeat.

A separate music app is being developed for people suffering from Parkinson's disease.

Team member Joe Timoney says the application, if used frequently, will help significantly in reducing stress on the human body.
