Protests are continuing in the capital this evening after peaceful marches and sit ins earlier in the day.

A group of protestors have gathered outside the GPO in the past hour and are making their way to the Phoenix Park.

A crowd of around approximately 700 people gathered outside the GPO at around 6.30pm.

They heard from some speakers and they made a decision to take their message to the Phoemix Park where the state leaders are meeting.

They won’t be able to get into the park with the heavy security in place down there.

It is the same group that took over Fitzwilliam Square earlier in the day.

There is no sense of violence and no threat of violence as of yet.
