A Dublin man charged with murdering teenager Marioara Rostas six years ago is due to go on trial today.

Thirty-five-year-old Alan Wilson of New Street Gardens has pleaded not guilty to murdering 18-year-old Ms Rostas.

He is accused of killing the Romanian teenager at Brabazon Street in the Coombe in Dublin between January 7 and 8 in 2008.

He was arraigned and a jury was sworn in for the trial which was due to start last Monday. However two jurors were unable to serve and a fresh jury was selected.

The trial is expected to last for up to four weeks.
