The body of a man in his 70s has been found in a house in Waterford city.

The body of a man in his 70s has been found in a house in Waterford city.

The discovery was made this morning in the Kilcohan area.

Gardaí say they are investigating but are not treating the death as suspicious.

It is thought the elderly man's body may have been left undiscovered for a number of days.

A post mortem will be carried out to establish the cause and time of death, and a report is being prepared for the coroner.
