The body of a 35-year-old man has been found at the side of the road in Co Louth.

The body of a 35-year-old man has been found at the side of the road in Co Louth.

Gardaí are investigating the discovery of the 35-year-old man's body at about 4.40am this morning in Carnalogue, Louth Village.

The man was pronounced dead at scene and was taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda.

Gardaí in Ardee are appealing to anyone who travelled the road at Carnalogue between 4.15am and 4.45am today to contact Ardee garda station at 041 6853222, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any garda station.
