Manager apologises after Tramore amusement ride gets stuck

The operator of a fairground in Tramore has apologised to a family who got stuck for hours on an amusement ride in Co Waterford.

Six people, including four children, said they were terrified while trapped around 80 feet in the air for almost two hours last night.

They have criticised the operator saying they got no information while they were stuck.

The manager of Tramore Amusement and Leisure Park Limited, Frank King, says it is a new machine that was certified by an engineer only two weeks ago.

He is apologising to the families for their traumatic experience.
