A man stabbed two gardaí with a knife at the Dublin City Council civic offices, according to reports this morning.

The 45-year-old man was arrested after the incident, in which the gardaí received minor stab wounds at the council offices at Wood Quay, Dublin.

The attack occurred inside the premises on the afternoon of May 15.

The gardaí, from Kevin Street station, were hospitalised but discharged a short time later.

A Dublin City Council spokesman confirmed the incident and said the matter was under investigation by gardaí.

The man was released and a file has been sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions, according to a report on irishtimes.com.
