A man who was arrested in connection with the shooting of a child in Dublin at the weekend has been released without charge.

A man who was arrested in connection with the shooting of a child in Dublin at the weekend has been released without charge.

The six-year-old boy was wounded in the neck in the incident in Ballyfermot on Friday night.

Gardaí detained a man in his mid-30s on Sunday, reportedly on suspicion of withholding information.

He was questioned at Ballyfermot station and was released late last night, a file is being prepared for the DPP.
