A 24-year-old man arrested earlier today in connection with the death of Dean Johnson has been released from Garda custody this evening without charge.

A 24-year-old man arrested earlier today in connection with the death of Dean Johnson has been released from Garda custody this evening without charge.

The 21-year-old was gunned down in a gangland style killing in Clondalkin in Dublin last August.

Dean Johnson was shot several times outside a house on Harelawn Green, which is just a short distance from his home.

Detectives investigating his murder arrested a 24-year-old man in west Dublin this morning. He was released from Lucan Garda Station without charge this evening.

A file is being prepared for the DPP.
