Man killed in collision between motorbike and car
A man has died following a road collision in Co Monaghan.
The incident involving a car and a motorbike happened on the main Monaghan to Clones Road outside of Smithboro village at Lismeagh at around 9pm yesterday.
The 29-year-old motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. His body was removed to Cavan mortuary where a post mortem will be carried out.
The driver of the car and a female passenger were uninjured.
The road is closed to motorists this morning while gardaí examine the scene and local diversions are in place.
