A man has been injured in a shooting in West Dublin.

The incident happened shortly after 10am this morning at Beechfield Rise in the greater Blanchardstown area.

A man in his 30s was injured and was brought to Connolly Hospital in Blanchardstown.

He is described as being in a stable condition.

The scene has been sealed off for a technical examination.
