A man is in hospital after being stabbed in Co Wexford.

A man is in hospital after being stabbed in Co Wexford.

The 34-year-old man was stabbed at a house on Grange Road, New Ross, at around 9.30pm last night.

He was seriously injured and taken to Waterford Regional Hospital, where his condition is described as serious but stable.

Gardaí have arrested a 60-year-old man who is being detained at New Ross Garda station.

They have preserved the scene for a technical examination and are appealing for anyone with information to contact them on 051 426030, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.
