A man has been hospitalised after being hit by a van in Co. Carlow in the early hours of the morning.

A man has been hospitalised after being hit by a van in Co. Carlow in the early hours of the morning.

The pedestrian was knocked down shortly before 5am on Hanover Road in Carlow Town today.

He was taken to St Luke’s General Hospital in Co. Kilkenny with serious injuries.

Forensic collision investigators are at the scene.
