Man in court in connection with Galway hit-and-run
A 23-year-old man is due before a special sitting of Loughrea District Court tonight following a fatal hit-and-run in Galway on Wednesday night.
John White, 68, of St Laurences Field in Loughrea, died shortly after he was hit by a car while cycling on the Gort road in Loghrea.
The man was arrested earlier today and will appear in court at 10pm tonight.
