Gardaí are continuing to question a man in connection with a carjacking in Dublin.

A heavily pregnant woman in her 30s was injured during the incident, which happened on Hill Street near Dublin's Mountjoy square at around 3pm yesterday.

The woman's partner had gone to the nearby meter, when a man hijacked the car and tried to push her out the door.

A garda patrol car spotted the vehicle and pursued it. A man in his 20s was arrested.
