A man suspected of involvement in a fatal hit and run in Co Kerry over a year ago has been arrested by police in London.

A man suspected of involvement in a fatal hit and run in Co Kerry over a year ago has been arrested by police in London.

Paudie O'Leary, a father of four from Gneeveguilla, died in July 2012 when he was hit by a jeep which didn't stop.

Gardaí requested London's Metropolitan police to make the arrest.

The suspect will be held until a European Arrest Warrant is issued.
