A 24-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon in Belfast.

The charges relate to an assault at the Ormeau Embankment area of Belfast on Monday.

The man is due to appear at Belfast Magistrates Court tomorrow.

A 30-year-old woman arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender, has been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
