Man goes on trial for 2007 robbery plot

A Dublin man has gone on trial accused of plotting with several others to steal over €1m from a cash-in-transit van in Kildare five years ago.

A Dublin man has gone on trial accused of plotting with several others to steal over €1m from a cash-in-transit van in Kildare five years ago.

Joseph Warren of Belclare Crescent, Ballymun, has pleaded not guilty at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court to conspiring to steal cash from Chubb Ireland at Tesco supermarket on the Shackleton Road in Celbridge on November 2, 2007.

The trial is expected to last up to five weeks due to the large number of witnesses involved.
