A man will appear in court this morning charged in connection with the robbery of a restaurant in Dublin yesterday morning.

A man will appear in court this morning charged in connection with the robbery of a restaurant in Dublin yesterday morning.

A man entered the restaurant on Werburgh Street at about 10.30am and threatened staff with scissors.

He then left the premises with a sum of money and was followed by a member of staff.

Gardaí arrested a suspect at a nearby housing complex following a search and questioned him at Kilmainham.

The man, who is in his 30s, is due in court this morning.
