A 24-year-old has been charged with attempted murder after a teenager was stabbed.

A 24-year-old has been charged with attempted murder after a teenager was stabbed.

The 19-year-old victim was left fighting for his life after the knife attack on Edward Street, Newry, Co Down, on Friday night.

The PSNI said a suspect who was arrested will appear before Newry Magistrates’ Court on Monday.

The accused has also been charged with possession of an article with a blade in a public place.
