A man is due to appear in court in Tipperary shortly charged in connection with the death of a father of two in the village of Lattin.

A man is due to appear in court in Tipperary shortly charged in connection with the death of a father of two in the village of Lattin.

Sean Murphy, 28, died after being stabbed outside his home during a row on Sunday night.

He is believed to have suffered one stab wound to the chest.

Gardaí are believed to be investigating reports of a row prior to his being fatally injured.

A 41-year-old man was arrested at the scene at about 10.15pm on Sunday evening.

He was questioned by detectives at Tipperary town Garda Station, and is expected to be brought before the local district court shortly to face a charge arising from the incident.
