A man has died after losing control of his motorcycle in Co Wicklow early this morning.

A man has died after losing control of his motorcycle in Co Wicklow early this morning.

The 42-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene in Cronebeg, Aughrim, Co Wicklow at around 00.10am this morning.

His body has been removed to St Columcille’s Hospital in Loughlinstown where a post mortem will take place.

The road has been closed for a forensic investigation.

Gardaí have appealled for witnesses to the accident to contact Arklow Garda Station on 0402- 26320, The Garda Confidential Telephone Line 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.
