A man in his 20s has been killed in a traffic accident on the Naas Road in Dublin.

A man in his 20s has been killed in a traffic accident on the Naas Road in Dublin.

Gardaí say he was struck by a car at around 3am this morning at Newlands Cross.

His body remains at the scene.

The road is closed for a forensic exam and traffic diversions are in place.

Gardai are appealing for any witnesses to contact Clondalkin Garda Station on 01-666-7600, the Garda Confidential Telephone Line on 1800-666-111, or any Garda station.
