A man has died after a traffic accident in Co. Tipperary this afternoon.

A man has died after a traffic accident in Co. Tipperary this afternoon.

The man, in his 20s, died when the car he was driving left the road on the R687 (Poulmucka to Barne Road) at around 1.30pm today.

No other car was involved in the accident.

He was pronounced dead at the scene and his body is still there for a forensic examination.

Gardaí have appealled for anyone who may have travelled this stretch of road between 1.15pm and 1.40pm today to contact Cahir Garda Station on 052-7445630, The Garda Confidential Telephone Line 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.
