A man has been charged with the murder of a father of one in Tallaght, Dublin.

Graham McKeever, aged 32, was found with stab wounds outside an apartment block in Deerpark Avenue in the early hours of February 18.

He was pronounced dead at the scene following efforts to revive him.

This morning, 39-year-old Keith Connerton of Deerpark Avenue was charged with his murder.

Garda Kieran Kilcoyne told the court he arrested the accused at his home address at 7.37am this morning and brought him to Tallaght Garda Station.

He said the accused made no rely after charge and caution.

Judge Bernadette Owens granted legal aid as the court heard Mr Connertion is on jobseeker's allowance.

Mr Connerton, who kept his head bowed and didn’t speak during the brief hearing, was remanded in custody to appear before Cloverhill District Court this Friday.

Bail for a murder charge can only be sought in the High Court.
