Man charged in connection with with Offaly murder
Gardaí investigating a murder in Co Offaly have charged a third man in connection with the investigation.
Christy Daly was found shot dead at Bog Lane, Clara, Co. Offaly on December 29 last year.
Gardaí have this morning charged 23-year-old man with the murder of Christy Daly and he is due to appear before Tullamore District Court today.
This is the third person to be charged in relation to this murder investigation.
Two other men, aged 24 and 25, were arrested in Dublin this morning and are being held at Tullamore Garda Station.
Eight people have been arrested in relation to this investigation into an organised crime gang trafficking drugs throughout the midlands and west of Ireland.
Gardaí have carried out 50 searches and interviewed 135 people so far.
