A man has been charged in relation to a robbery at a shop in Santry, Dublin, yesterday.

A man has been charged in relation to a robbery at a shop in Santry, Dublin, yesterday.

The robbery occurred in the shop on Lorcan Avenue, Santry, yesterday morning at about 11am.

One man entered the shop and threatened staff and demanded money. He left the scene in a waiting car.

During follow-up searches of the area, gardaí later arrested a man in his late 40s and he was taken to Santry garda station, where he was detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.

He was charged in relation to the incident and appeared in Court No 2, CCJ , Parkgate this morning.
