Man charged in connection with death in Naas
Gardaí have charged a 42-year-old male in connection with the death of a 20-year-old man which occurred in Naas last Friday.
The male appeared before a special sitting of Naas District Court this evening at 5pm, where he was remanded in custody.
The incident occurred at approximately 10.20pm at Harbour View, Naas, last Friday when a number of youths became involved in an altercation with another male.
During the altercation, a 20-year-old male received head injuries.
When gardaí arrived to the scene the male was unconscious.
Gardaí administered first aid until an ambulance arrived. The male was taken to Naas Hospital and pronounced dead shortly afterwards.
