Man arrested in connection with Regency Hotel shooting

A man wanted in connection with the Regency Hotel shooting has been arrested in the north.

The PSNI says the 46-year-old is wanted here by Gardaí in relation to murder and firearms offences.

He was arrested in Strabane, Co Tyrone earlier today.

He will appear before a Belfast court in the morning, on foot of a European Arrest Warrant.

David Byrne was shot dead at the Regency Hotel in February 5th.

The murder is seen as the starting point of the so-called Kinahan-Hutch gangland feud.
