A 63-year-old man has been arrested this morning in connection with a recent fatal stabbing in Dublin's inner city.

A 63-year-old man has been arrested this morning in connection with a recent fatal stabbing in Dublin's inner city.

David Sheridan, 45, received serious injuries last Sunday at North Strand. He was sent to the Mater Hospital but later died from his injuries.

The male arrested this morning was detained at Mountjoy Garda station under the provisions of section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 as amended.
