A man has been arrested in connection with the investigation into the discovery of a body in Co Wicklow yesterday.

A man has been arrested in connection with the investigation into the discovery of a body in Co Wicklow yesterday.

The remains have since been formally identified as those of missing Bray man Philip O'Toole.

The body of the 33-year-old was found yesterday morning in Trooperstown Wood in Rathdrum following a planned search by gardaí investigating his disappearance.

A man in his 40s has been detained in the Bray area and is being held at Bray garda station under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act 2007, where he can be held for up to seven days.
