A 48-year-old man arrested on Monday in connection with the seizure of drugs in Dublin is to appear in court this morning.

A 48-year-old man arrested on Monday in connection with the seizure of drugs in Dublin is to appear in court this morning.

Gardaí seized €292,000 worth of drugs following the search of a house in the Ballyfermot area of Dublin on Monday night.

The Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau carried out the house search as part of an operation targeting organised criminality.

Officers seized heroin to the value of €280,000 and cocaine to the value of €12,000.

The arrested man was detained at Ballyfermot Garda Station and is due in court today.
