A man and a woman have died following separate crashes yesterday evening in Limerick and Tyrone.

A man and a woman have died following separate crashes yesterday evening in Limerick and Tyrone.

The man died and a number of other people were injured in a two-car collision on the outskirts of Limerick city at around 8.30pm.

The crash happened on the N24, at the turn-off for Caherconlish.

The woman, meanwhile, died in another two-car collision on the Omagh Road near Ballygawley in Co Tyrone.

A man and two other women were also injured in the incident, which happened at around 5pm.
