Gardai are appealing for witnesses after a 72-year-old man died in a crash in County Donegal.

Gardai are appealing for witnesses after a 72-year-old man died in a crash in County Donegal.

The two car collision happened on Tuesday August 30th on the Lifford to Letterkenny Road just outside Lifford at approximately 3.15pm.

The 72-year-old driver and sole occupant of one car was taken to Letterkenny University Hospital where he passed away last Friday.

The other car was driven by a man in his early 30's who was uninjured, two other passenger, both children under seven years, were also unhurt.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses or anyone who may have been on the road between 3pm and 3.15pm on Tuesday August 30th to contact them.
