A man in his sixties has died in a road crash in east Galway.

Man, 60s, dies following single-vehicle collision in Galway

A man in his sixties has died in a road crash in east Galway.

It followed a single-vehicle collision in the Croagh Hill area of Williamstown, at 8pm last night.

The driver of the vehicle was sole occupant of the car.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene after his vehicle struck a pole.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses.
