A man in his mid-30s has been arrested by gardaí in the East Donegal area, as part of a cross border investigation.

A man in his mid-30s has been arrested by gardaí in the East Donegal area, as part of a cross border investigation.

It is after detectives from the PSNI's Terrorism Investigation Unit, investigating paramilitary-style attacks, carried out a number of searches in the Strabane area this morning.

The man arrested today is being questioned at Letterkenny Garda Station.

Investigations are ongoing.
