Three-fifths of the Irish electorate have yet to decide their stances on the forthcoming Lisbon Treaty referendum, according to an opinion poll published this morning.

Three-fifths of the Irish electorate have yet to decide their stances on the forthcoming Lisbon Treaty referendum, according to an opinion poll published this morning.

Twenty-eight per cent of respondents to the Red C poll for the Irish Sun said they had already decided to vote Yes, with 12% in the No camp.

Almost two-thirds of respondents also said they had very little understanding of the contents of the treaty.

Just over one-in-20 people said they fully understood the document.
