Major traffic changes in Dublin city come into force this weekend

Major changes to traffic flow in Dublin City Centre will come in to force on Sunday.

Private cars will no longer be able to turn right from Bachelor's Walk on to O'Connell Bridge.

General traffic will be reduced to one lane from Ormond Quay Upper to Eden Quay on the northside.

While on the other side of the Liffey, there will be one lane only for private drivers between Burgh Quay and Essex Quay.

The changes are to facilitate the new Luas Cross City line, and to help public transport move more freely.
