Love/Hate actor Harris shot in suspected case of mistaken identity

An actor from TV crime drama Love/Hate has been shot in the leg in Dublin overnight.

Twenty-year-old Leroy Harris was walking with a friend in the Rutland Cottages area of the north city centre at around 3.40am when they were approached by a lone gunman.

Harris suffered a minor wound to the leg and was taken to the Mater Hospital, where his condition is described as non-life threatening. Harris' friend was uninjured.

Gardaí suspect the shooting may have been a case of mistaken identity.

The Daily Mirror's crime correspondent Cathal McMahon said gardaí had yet to speak to the actor.
