Gardaí in Tipperary are investigating a road traffic accident in which an articulated lorry driver was killed this evening.

Gardaí in Tipperary are investigating a road traffic accident in which an articulated lorry driver was killed this evening.

The 32 year-old man died after the lorry he was driving crashed near Cahir on the M8 Dublin to Cork Motorway at 6.10pm this evening.

No other vehicle was involved in the crash.

The motorway is down to one lane travelling Northbound at junction 10.

The man's body has been removed to South Tipperary Hospital in Clonmel.
