A lorry has been driven into the headquarters of the Quinn Group in Co Fermanagh.

The vehicle caused considerable damage to the staff canteen at Derrylin following last night’s accident.

Businessman Sean Quinn is involved in a Belfast court battle to have his bankruptcy overturned.

His insurance empire in the south has been taken over by administrators.

A Police Service of Northern Ireland spokesman said: “Police are appealing for witnesses following an incident of criminal damage to a commercial premises in the Ballyconnell Road area of Derrylin on the evening of Wednesday 21st December.

“Anyone who noticed any suspicious activity at approximately 6pm is asked to contact Enniskillen police station.”
